Big Rock Creek — Weddings in St. Croix Falls, WI
980 Acres · St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin

Your wedding weekend, not just your wedding day.

A new patio right next to the barn for vows, a fully heated and air-conditioned barn for the party, and enough lodging, glamping, and camping on the property that your whole family gets to stay.

How a wedding here actually goes

The weekend, not the day.

Most venues hand you four hours and a parking lot. Big Rock Creek gives your people a whole weekend on the property — so nobody's driving home before the bonfire's out.

Friday

Arrive & settle in

Campsites and glamping tents fill up as your people trickle in. Groomsmen light the first bonfire the night before anyone says "I do."

Saturday

Vows, then the barn

Ceremony on the new patio, cocktail hour as the sky turns gold, then dinner and dancing under hand-hewn beams — with two full bars pouring all night.

Sunday

Slow goodbyes

Coffee on the porch instead of packing the car at dawn. One more swim, one more toast, before everyone finally heads home.

The Patio Ceremony Space

Say your vows with the whole property behind you.

Our newest ceremony space sits on a poured patio overlooking the grounds — no mowed field, no folding-chair sink-in, no scrambling if last night's rain left the grass wet. Just a clean stage for the aisle, a timber arbor, and a view that does most of the decorating for you.

  • Seating for up to 300 guests, arranged your way
  • Level, poured surface — good for heels, wheelchairs, and grandma's walker
  • Steps from the barn, so cocktail hour starts the second "I do" ends

Cocktail Hour & Reception

Dinner outside, right up until the sun says otherwise.

The same patio that holds your ceremony resets for cocktail hour and, when the weather's on your side, for dinner under string light and sky. When it isn't, the barn is thirty steps away and just as beautiful.

Guests move between the two without a shuttle, a golf cart, or a walk down a gravel road in formalwear.

Rain, shine, or January

The barn does the heavy lifting.

It's a real barn — hand-hewn beams, wide plank floors, chandeliers where hay used to hang — but it's built to actually work as a venue, in any season, for any size of party.

01

Heated & air conditioned

Book a January wedding or a July one — the barn holds a comfortable temperature either way. No space heaters, no box fans.

02

Two full bars, full liquor license

We hold our own liquor license, so there's no outside bar service to coordinate, no beer-and-wine-only workaround. Order what your bar actually wants to serve.

03

Two full bathrooms

Real plumbing, real mirrors, no trailer parked out back. Your guests won't remember the bathrooms — which is exactly the point.

04

Room to actually dance

A dance floor sized for a full guest list, not a squeeze between the head table and the cake.

Getting Ready & Staying the Night

Everyone stays. Nobody drives home in formalwear.

Between the bridal suite, on-site cabins, and glamping and camping spots across the property, your wedding party and your out-of-town family can stay right where the party is — before, during, and after.

  • A dedicated bridal suite for hair, makeup, and the calm before the aisle
  • On-site lodging and glamping for the wedding party and family
  • Campsites for anyone who'd rather fall asleep to the fire than a hotel TV
No off-season

Big Rock Creek works in every season.

A heated, air-conditioned barn and a patio ceremony space mean the weather doesn't get a vote. Golden July evenings, crisp October afternoons, and quiet snow-lit winter receptions are all on the table.

What weekends here actually feel like.

★★★★★

"I would highly recommend Big Rock Creek if you are looking for a rustic, barn wedding. The venue itself was beautiful and although it rained the morning of our wedding and we weren't able to have the ceremony outside, we were able to make the bottom level of the barn work. The venue's animals were a hit with guests during cocktail hour, and they had a slip and slide and bounce house that the little cousins used — they had a blast. They had a list of preferred vendors and I'd highly recommend Deutschland's pasta bar and Complete Wedding for DJ and photo. We had a 200-person wedding, needed wedding insurance and a $1,500 damage deposit, and declined the permanent structures but rented campsites instead — the groomsmen camped the night before and the rest of us stayed the night of. Barb, our day-of host, was GREAT, and Shauna was prompt and positive through all our planning. The bartenders kept up with orders all night."

★★★★★

"The Big Rock team was fantastic, from beginning planning to day-of host to the bar staff. The venue property is beautiful with many location options for pictures indoors and outdoors. The barn perfectly blends functionality, elegance, and rustic feel. The on-site lodging was fantastic — the cabins were clean and had tons of supplies for our weekend. It was a great convenience and added so much extra fun for our wedding party and family!"

"We had the wedding of our dreams, all thanks to Big Rock Creek. The staff helped ensure the day ran smoothly and we couldn't have asked for a more stunning location to start our forever — every detail, from the creek-side ceremony, to the bar, to the stunning reception, made our dream come true!"

Before you call

Questions we hear on almost every tour.

Do you have a full liquor license?

Yes. Big Rock Creek holds its own full liquor license, so there's no outside bar service to coordinate and no beer-and-wine-only workaround. We pour from two full bars on-site.

Can our wedding party and family stay overnight?

Yes — that's a big part of what makes a wedding here different. Between the bridal suite, on-site cabins, glamping tents, and campsites, your wedding party and out-of-town family can stay right on the property before and after the wedding.

What happens if it rains?

The barn is fully heated and air conditioned and sits steps from the patio, so a ceremony can move indoors with very little disruption if the weather turns.

How many guests can Big Rock Creek accommodate?

The patio ceremony space seats up to 300, and past weddings here have run around 200 guests comfortably through ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.

Do you host weddings year-round?

Yes. The heated, air-conditioned barn and the flexibility to move a ceremony indoors mean spring, summer, fall, and winter weddings all work here.

Do you require insurance or a damage deposit?

Like most venues this size, we typically ask for wedding insurance and a damage deposit — reach out to our team for the current requirements and amounts for your date.
